Story
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my Just Giving Page. Many of you know, I design and create my patterns in exchange for a donation, however small, to a given charity. And for this project I am supporting Children’s Liver Disease Foundation. Each time I design a piece of work using some gorgeous yarn from a hand dyed yarn dyer, I ask them which charity is close to their hearts. So for this project, Lisa from For the Love of Yarn has chosen this incredible charity. It has given her family many years of support and it is an honour to be able to support them.
This amazing charity works with both parents and children through their journey with liver disease. CLDF is a UK charity which takes action against the effects of childhood liver disease. It provides the families with information and emotional support. It also helps with research funds and provides a voice for all affected children, young people and their families.
They are dedicated to fight all children’s liver diseases and the CLDF has a strong track record of supporting research, with over £9 million of research funding delivered since 1980. Most of this money has been donated by families, friends, relatives and other supporters. The research they do, not only enhances their understanding of childhood liver disease and improves available treatments, but it gives children, young people and their families hope for a better future.
What an incredible charity and I am so pleased to be able to support them.
