Story
Here we are, a full MARATHON in support of the Fire Fighters Charity!
I will be running just over 42 km (26 miles) in Edinburgh, on the 28th of May.
In the last 9 years of serving in Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, on more than one occasion I reached out to this charity for help.
They are offering so much, to the fire fighters and their families. Now I would like to give them something back and raise some funds to support them.
Please consider donating as little as you wish, yet all goes to help so many people like me!
We never know when our sircumstances change. I have faced unbelievable challenges in the past, and knowing that there is someone out there able to help me, really makes an impact.
If you know me, you heard me saying
I hate running
This gives you hopefully an idea how big task this is for me to run a FULL MARATHON in Edinburgh, on the 28th of May. Yes, only a few weeks away! Crickey...
I have entered the event by myself, not charity, as didn't want to impact their budget. I have spent the winter, and recent weeks training more than I ever done, for anything.
This won't be easy, the run. Knowing that You have donated a little bit to this cause will make me more accountable to complete the race.
About 1.5 years ago I was signed up to run tye half marathon, and despite I completed it, I really struggled to finish it. Now, a fair amount of time later, I am preparing for the toughest run of my life to date. THANK YOU SO MUCH for reading as far, and ever more thanks for the donation.
