Each year around 150 children in Yorkshire are diagnosed with cancer, turning not only their lives but also those of their family and friends, instantly upside down.

Understanding the impact and complexities of a childhood cancer diagnosis, Candlelighters mission is to bring light and hope to each and every one of these families, by providing emotional, practical and financial support.

For our fundraising challenge this year #TeamPigment has decided to collectively travel the circumference of the earth, in support of Candlelighters and the work they do to help ordinary families through extraordinary circumstances.

Aside from just the usual daydreaming about where else in the world we could be, we intend to walk, run, swim, cycle and even row the 24,901-mile distance.

Following various events and challenges, each team member’s additional weekly step/mileage total will be converted into distance covered, hopefully resulting in the team covering an extra 25,000 over the course of the year.

We understand that times are incredibly tough right now, so any support at all will be hugely appreciated!
