Stop Domestic Abuse was founded in 1977 by a group of people in Havant who saw a need for a refuge for women and children. They established Havant Women’s Aid which later became Southern Domestic Abuse Service. In 2018, they rebranded to Stop Domestic Abuse with the intent of increasing awareness and extending their reach. They now deliver accommodation and community-based services across Hampshire, Portsmouth and Southampton and retain their head office in Havant where the charity was founded 45 years ago. The Head Girl Team decided to support Stop Domestic Abuse for our charity this year as we believe that it is a topic that needs to be spoken about more with young people. It is a fantastic charity that helps perpetrators as well as victims, and we are extremely excited to fundraise for them. Any donations are greatly appreciated!
