In September, we will be participating in a sponsored skydive, raising money for Samaritans - a charity devoted to providing emotional support to anyone, anywhere, whenever they’re in need of it. We will be diving in memory of Harvey Dyson, Phoebe’s stepdad, who we sadly lost last summer to suicide. Harvey was an extraordinary man who was loved dearly by friends and family and will be greatly missed. Consequently, we are eager to not only spread awareness about the amazing work of Samaritans, but to also encourage anyone who is suffering to talk to someone; whether that be family, a friend or a Samaritan.

Every 10 seconds, Samaritans responds to a call for help. The money we raise will go towards training the life saving volunteers at the end of the phone, assuring that people are not left alone to struggle. By raising awareness, reducing the stigma around suicide, and encouraging well-informed action, we can spare others from such pain.
