We provide UK-wide support and information to improve life after brain injury

Story

Headway UK are a brain injury association working to improve the lives of those who have experienced brain injury, and those in proximity.

Strokes have impacted my life since a young age, after my nan suffered a haemmorhagic stroke following a brain injury that went unnoticed.

My own stroke happened as a result of my Ulcerative Colitis, and left bilateral thalamic infarcts. Luckily for me, this hasn’t had any lasting impact on my life, but this isn’t necessarily the case for others.

It is important to remember that brain injury can affect anyone of any age due to a multitude of reasons, which is why charities like Headway are so vital for support.
