Story
Two years ago I did a 24hr endurance run in aid of Pancreatic Cancer Research, in memory of my good friend Simon McLaughlin, who we sorely miss. I managed 22hrs and 75 miles, raising £1800 in total thanks to many incredibly generous and supportive people!
WELL, here I am, doing it again(OMG!)
I will be competing in the “Hope 36” event in Plymouth on the 7-9 of July 2023. Yes, 36hrs!!
In all honesty, training has not been going well! Due to a combination of long Covid and a chronic back injury but that notwithstanding, I am going for it, and would love to raise £2000 pounds this time!
I am a very stubborn person and I believe a lot can be done with pure perseverance! I am not promising a specific mileage but I will keep going until I drop, with the incredible help of my support/cheerleading crew. (YAY!!)
If any of you believe that this is a good cause and wish to drive me on to achieve my goal, I would so appreciate it and so would all the victims and families of this terrible disease.
Thank you so much!
Phill
