The Christie, based in Manchester, is the largest single site cancer centre in Europe, treating over 60,000 patients a year. Alongside providing life-saving specialist treatments, surgeries and cancer research on their main site, The Christie provides services across Greater Manchester and beyond.

Last year, The Christie formed a senior adult oncology unit, recognising that older adults needed an outpatient service to support more complex health needs and provide personalised care and specialist support. As many of you know, I am passionate about creating more age-friendly communities and feel proud to be able to fundraise for this brilliant charity and support the services they provide for the community.

I'm taking this opportunity to explore my new city and discover some of the different running routes across Manchester, recommendations are welcome! I'll be updating this page with pictures of some of my longer runs to keep you up to date with my progress! I would appreciate any donation, big or small, towards this great cause. Thank you!
