Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

At the turn of midnight on 14th October 2024 I will be setting off from Blackpool Tower with the aim of walking to The Christie Hospital in Manchester within 24 hours ~ just short of 60 miles.

Blackpool is where we used to holiday as a family and The Christie is where my mum passed away.

Many friends, family and business associates will be doing this walk with me including Debbie & Ben from Safecote, Simon from United Molasses, Phil Read from Aviva and many others - thanks to you all for supporting me on this.

This will be the 40th anniversary of the passing of my mum, Barbara, who sadly lost her life to cancer at the age of just 51.

Any donation is appreciated, no matter how big or small.

Cancer is responsible for so much pain and heartache in our lives, let's try and do our bit by raising some funds that will hopefully go to identifying a possible cure for this wretched disease xx

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
