Great North Run 2024
Campaign by Bowel Cancer UK (RCN 1071038)
The Great North Run is the world's largest half marathon with an incredible atmosphere, starting in Newcastle upon Tyne and finishing by the sea in South Shields. It's an amazing event for all, whether you're after a personal best or new to running!

Story

It’s that time again… hands in your pockets pretty please!!

Cancer is a sh*t (I could have said worse) and we all know and love someone that has been impacted by it. Bowel cancer for me in 2019 was the most frightening time of my life but the care and support I had helped me through it.

This year has a bit of a different feel to it, it’s now 5 years clear for me!! Although I have to get checks and the odd camera, you know where, it’s a great feeling to know I’ve reached that milestone.

My wife, family and friends have been there for me all the way through and I am forever grateful to them for that. The run this year is a perfect example of it. My brother Simon, sister in law Louise and brother in law Steve are all doing it with me… plonkers!!

With more people that means more sponsorship needed. In total, since 2019, we have raised £6,590 for Bowel Cancer UK and want to keep it going. That’s where you come in.

Any donations are welcome, it really helps the charity in so many ways to do amazing things.

Thanks in advance everyone!! x
