Story
On 13th April I attempt the Chester Ultra 100 miles (more like 106 miles I'm told), raising funds for Ogwen Mountain Rescue.
Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation (OVMRO), or Sefydliad Achub Mynydd Dyffryn Ogwen , is a voluntary mountain rescue team responding to incidents in the mountains and valleys surrounding the Ogwen Valley, Glyderau, and Carneddau mountain ranges and surrounding area in northern Snowdonia. They have personally helped me in the past after my Uncle suffered a serious fall on Snowdon. It is due to volunteers like them that ordinary people like myself are able to venture into the mountains with some degree of a safety net, and I am forever indebted to them for the help they gave that day.
I've not attempted 100 miles before and find myself slightly scared, but excited to see how I get on. Anyone wishing to (periodically) follow my progress can do so via the GB Ultras website, which has a link to live tracking on the day. (starts 0600 on 13th and has a 32 hour time limit)
Any sponsorship and support is very much appreciated
