It’s that time of year!
The clocks have gone forward – and the nights are getting lighter.
So I might as well run three marathons in the space of a month!

So why am I putting myself through 26 and a bit miles again?
Three times over.
And for two remarkable people - who are not only dedicating their life to supporting others who have found themselves in this horrendous position; but also doing everything in their power to reduce the risk of this happening to other parents in the future.
Friends of Frankie is a charity set up by Frankie’s parents – Sarah and James - after the sudden death of Frankie in May 2019.
He was a happy, healthy 3 year old who was put to bed as normal, only to be found unresponsive the next morning.
I am running to raise funds for Friends of Frankie for SUDC UK because his incredible parents want his legacy to save other children in the future.
They are now raising money to fund research into Sudden Unexplained Death in Children through SUDC UK. This is so very important, we need to find out how and why this happens so that we can work towards preventing it happening to other children.
SUDC UK is dedicated to raising awareness, funding research and helping families affected by Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). SUDC occurs in children aged 1-18 years.
The cause of death remains unexplained after a thorough investigation. 40 children die without reason every year in England and Wales alone.
Our vision is for SUDC to be predictable and preventable in the future.
The sudden unexplained death of a child is one of the most under-recognised medical tragedies of our time.
Friends of Frankie - stand tall, aim high, be kind.
During these challenges, I will also be highlighting and raising awareness of the great work done by ANDYSMANCLUB.
This is a voluntary organisation which runs talking groups for men who have either been through a storm, are currently going through a storm, or have a storm brewing in life.
The single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK is suicide. On average one man every 2 hours takes his life in the UK. It’s often said a factor is that men don’t talk.
ANDYSMANCLUB was set up to break down these stigmas, support men struggling with mental health issues, and lend a hand to suicide prevention.
At ANDYSMANCLUB you don’t have to be suicidal or have a mental health problem - it's just about getting men talking.
That change starts here. One club. One aim. To help one guy. To save one life.
