Story
On Saturday 25th November 2022 I'll be joining this year's Red Run in Victoria Park, East London. I'm running to support PrEPster - a small grass-roots organisation that has been at the forefront of educating and agitating for PrEP access in England and beyond.
Over the past year, PrEPster has provided information to tens of thousands of people about monkeypox; we've done dozens of community online events; spoken to hundreds of people in both online and offline outreach, and produced incredible award-winning websites and videos.
PrEPster isn't a huge organisation but it punches way above its weight. We keep our overheads right down - ensuring that donations will go right into where the work is needed. Donations raised by our runners in 2018 helped to fund our short video Date PrEP, which aimed to raise awareness about PrEP in young Black African and Caribbean communities.
Will you help me to keep PrEPster on the go for another year? There's still a huge amount of work to do to get PrEP available for free for all who need it. Help me reach my target by donating any amount - small or large - I'll be hugely grateful. I hope my donations will go towards new projects that improve the sexual health of trans and non-binary people, gay and bisexual men, migrants, sex workers, people of colour and people living with HIV.
* Because PrEPster is not a registered charity, they cannot register directly on Just Giving (PrEPster is a project of The Love Tank CIC). As with last year, all funds raised by PrEPster at Red Run will be passed over to PrEPster by Positive East.
