We offer practical and emotional support to lone refugee children in the UK.

Story

Tony Hastings and Phil Dean met at Southampton University 50 years ago and have been close friends ever since. We have shared the ambition to walk the length of Hadrian's Wall for many years, and realised we should do it before age gets the better of us! Our walk starts on 9th June and we will cover all 86 miles of the Hadrian's Wall Path (one of Britain's National Trails) over 7 days.

We are raising money for The Separated Child Foundation, a UK-based charity that offers practical, emotional and social support to lone refugee children, and engages in activities to raise awareness of their needs. Separated children experience the double trauma of separation, not only from their homelands and culture but also from the adults in their family who gave them care. When they arrive here it is often at the end of a long and traumatic journey. By supporting our fundraiser you will really make a difference to children's lives.
