In 2023, Peter Brewin was diagnosed with a form of Motor Neurone Disease, called Bulbar MND. This affects speech and swallowing, which meant he talked via an iPad and ate via a tube in his stomach. Sadly, in December, Peter passed away, thankfully very peacefully, next to his loving wife and soul mate, Adrienne.

Peter stayed positive right up to the end, continuing with his much-loved violin playing, gardening and history lessons, despite tiring easily from the energy-absorbing MND. The support of friends and family meant the world to him.

We are raising money for the MND Association to raise crucial funds providing access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in the UK.
