We are back for the third time to remember a wonderful young boy who was taken from us far too soon. Peter Woodmansey had a passion for football, playing for his school, Bootham, and his team, Wigginton Grasshoppers, while also being a massive York City fan!

After another successful football match last year, we have decided to host this chairty football again in Peter's memory, whilst also raising as much money as possible for such an excellent charity, Candlelighters.

Candlelighters are a Yorkshire-based charity, who help hundreds of families who have children suffering with cancer, just like they did for the Woodmansey's.

This match is between Bootham Old Scholars and Wigginton Grasshoppers.

The match will take place on Sunday 1st September 2024 at Bootham Junior School with a 2pm kick off.

No tickets required, instead we asking for donations to this page.

Refreshments will be available and there will be a raffle at full time with some incredible prizes
