Story
I am raising funds for the Oxford Health Charity (OHC) which sits alongside Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and provides funds which enhance the experience of patients, carers, families and staff receiving support or working for the Trust.
I am raising funds for where the need is greatest and as I have family who work for the Trust.
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust provides services across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and into Wiltshire and North Somerset. The teams cover mental health for all ages, community services, learning disability services and specialist services.
At some point, all people in these areas are likely to experience the services of the Trust - especially in Oxfordshire where the greatest number of Trust services are based - and these services will make a huge difference.
Whether in the form of:
support following the birth of a new baby by our Health Visitor teams.
immunisations from the school nurses team.
support at a time of need from our mental health inpatient and community teams.
care within the community by the district nurses following a fall.
support from the community hospitals teams during a short period of ill health, for ongoing health needs, or end-of-life care.
By giving, you are supporting the vital work that these teams do by enabling projects and activities which are beyond the day-to-day scope of NHS funding.
