In April 2024, I will again be running the London Marathon. However I have decided to move on from running as a cheese and run as Marshall, the dog from Paw Patrol :). I feel this may be more relevant to the many children that Able Child Africa helps every year..I am fundraising for Able Child Africa, an incredible charity that supports local partners in protecting, educating and empowering children with disabilities in Africa. The poverty and deprivation that these children face every day is a heartbreaking stain on our world. As a parent and grandparent, the thought of my own 5 children and 7 grandchildren facing such conditions is humbling and shocking. Without Able Child Africa these children will never know the joy and fun of watching Paw Patrol or in fact any fun at all.

But there is hope. Able Child Africa has already made a difference in the life of Juliet - a bright, bubbly, confident thirteen-year-old from Tanzania who also has hydrocephalus and low vision. Thanks to the support of Able Child Africa and their partner Child Support Tanzania, Juliet is now empowered to fulfill her potential. But there are so many more children who need our help.

I am so close to reaching my fundraising goal of £100,000 raised through running marathons and half marathons across the years in ridiculous outfits (I'm sure you can imagine some of them!). With your help, I can pass that milestone and make an even greater impact on the lives of these children.
