Story

Thank you for visiting my "Coast-to-Coast" JustGiving page.

Over 3 days (09-11 Sep 2023) I will cycle from Broadstairs in Kent (East) to Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset (West). That's about 415km.

I'll be raising money for two causes (choose the page you want) that were both very dear to the heart of my oldest and closest friend from university, Julian Eaton. He died in an accident in 2019 and I'd have done this challenge much sooner only the COVID pandemic interrupted all such plans! Julian had a distinguished service in the RAF Regiment and then, after leaving the RAF as a Group Captain, he was chief executive at the Longfield Community Hospice in Gloucestershire. He put an extraordinary amount of energy into doing good for others in both his - very different but highly complementary - careers.

Please join me in raising vital funds to support serving men and women, veterans and families who will call on SSAFA (Soldiers', Sailors' and Airmen's Families Association), the Armed Forces charity for help in time of need. Not only does it provide activity breaks for members of the Armed Forces but also their families who have a child with a disability and/or an additional need.

Many thanks! Pete
