London 2 Brighton Challenge 2025 · 24 May 2025 to 25 May 2025 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Sunday 31st January 2021 we lost our beloved father, Bernard Myerscough. He fought dementia for many years and fought every illness that was thrown at him. He showed so much strength and bravery and we will be forever proud of him. Unfortunately at the beginning of January 2021, our Dad/Grandad caught covid-19 and fought it till the very end, after developing pneumonia. He was an inspiration to everyone, the strongest person on this earth and someone we will never forget. We will forever miss him and he will always be with us.

We unfortunately lost Pat, Bernard’s sister in 2018 and My Mums sister Mavis 11th April 2014 after also fighting Alzheimer’s for many years.

I have set myself the challenge of attempting to complete the London to Brighton 100km challenge, in under 24hrs. I will be raising much needed funds for the Alzheimer’s society. The money will go to help fund research into finding a cure and support the families of those affected.
