Story
The Twin Pete's Investing podcast is an informal, retail-investor focussed podcast run by investors, for investors. In addition to sharing insights and stories from the world of retail investing, the podcast aims to educate investors about investing research, portfolio management and stock selection in a light-hearted, friendly format.
The show is the brainchild of Peter Higgins (@conkers3), who publishes the show as part of his 'Conkers Corner' investing brand alongside myself, Henry Viola-Heir.

The reason I am fundraising for the Menphys charity.
As a volunteer and ambassador for the Menphys charity, I have seen first hand the vast amount of services and the difference that the charity makes to lives of disabled children and their families across Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland.
Menphys play a vital role in supporting disabled children, young people, and their families across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. Menphys has been at the heart of our community since 1970, working tirelessly to ensure that every child, regardless of their disability, has access to equal opportunities and the support they need to thrive.
Menphys' work is wide-ranging, from delivering inclusive family events to providing vital employment and pre-employment programmes. At our Centre of SEND Excellence in South Wigston, we run projects that focus on employability, after-school clubs, family support, and much more. Through our services, we empower children to build confidence and independence while supporting families with the tools and guidance they need to navigate the challenges of disability.
The impact of our work is clear. Since 2019, our employment programme has helped our young people, partnering with organisations such as Caterpillar and the National Space Centre, to secure apprenticeships, internships, and paid roles. Our family support has secured just under 1 million in funding for families and our clubs and activities calendar makes society accessible for families.
This has been transformative for many young people, offering them a sense of purpose and a pathway to independence. Feedback from parents and participants has inspired us to expand this area, with plans to develop a new pre-employment programme tailored for SEND youth.
However, this work cannot continue without financial stability. Over the past month, we have made difficult but necessary changes to secure Menphys’ future, including reducing staff numbers and renegotiating contracts. These steps have brought us closer to sustainability, but we are not there yet. The challenges we face are real, and the need for your support is urgent.
With your help, we can continue to make a meaningful difference. Your support will enable us to sustain our current projects, launch new initiatives, and extend our reach to even more children and young people.
Your support can ensure Menphys continues to be a lifeline for families in our community.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a real and lasting difference to this fantastic charity.
