Story
My son Harry has Down's Syndrome. Whilst this presents challenges on a daily basis, we have been hugely lucky with the support shown to us by our family, friends and the network of people we have met via the various charities that provide us and Harry with crucial support, therapy and guidance.
Me, my brother (Stu), and my cousin (Andrew), are all running to raise much needed funds for one of these charities - Down’s South London (DSL), where Harry receives weekly therapy sessions for speech, physio and OT.
Founded in 1998, Down’s South London provides vital free services to children with Down’s Syndrome and their families in South London. The children access a unique package of early intervention speech and language therapy, physiotherapy and occupational therapy from a team of highly skilled therapists with specialist knowledge. Over the last 22 years it has supported hundreds of children and their families. DSL is also a family support network, providing much needed support and information sharing as well as valuable friendship opportunities for parents/carers and the children themselves.
Please give what you can to ensure DSL can continue to provide amazing support to families like ours.
