Story
On March 28th, a devastating earthquake struck Myanmar, leaving countless families in despair. This was the strongest earthquake to hit the country in a century, registering a staggering magnitude of 7.7. The tremors were felt far and wide, reaching major cities like Yangon and even causing destruction in neighboring Thailand. Tragically, more than 2,000 lives have been lost, with many of those affected being innocent children. As search and rescue operations continue, these numbers are expected to rise, and many remain trapped under the rubble.
In response to this catastrophe, Save the Children is mobilizing quickly to provide essential support to children and their families who are suffering. Their teams are on the ground working tirelessly to ensure that help reaches those in need as swiftly as possible. However, they cannot do this alone; they urgently require our assistance.
I am participating in the CARTEN100 cycling event on May 10th, 2025, to raise funds for the Myanmar Earthquake Appeal. My goal is to raise £200 to support these efforts. Every donation counts and can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by this disaster. Please consider contributing to my fundraiser so we can bring hope and relief to children in Myanmar during this critical time.
