We ran the Telford T50 ultramarathon in 2023 and because we have blanked out our memories of how it felt, this year we thought we would give it another try to see if we might get lost less, not pick up injuries along the way, and see if we can complete it in under 12 hours!

The Telford T50 is a 50 mile walkway around Telford taking in the Ironbridge Gorge, the peak of the Wrekin, Lilleshall Hill, The Ercall and numerous hidden gems. It is mostly off road and rarely flat.

We have been training for this for the past six months, increasing our mileage as the weeks passed by including the completion of a 30 mile ultra marathon in March. We have endured being soaked through, hitting the wall, injury, mud, brambles and getting stones in our shoes but have finally reached the point of no return.

We are fundraising for the Telford Community First Responders.

Telford CFRS are a voluntary service that supports West Midlands Ambulance Service by responding to life critical 999 calls across Telford. They are all volunteers and receive no funding at all, so rely entirely on donations to cover the cost of uniforms, equipment, running their response vehicle and covering the general running costs of the charity.
