THE DEED HAS BEEN DONE!
Well, Tuesday 18 April was a memorable day! With some trepidation but a lot of support from family, friends and neighbours, Irene our village hairdresser finally chopped my hair off! It was amazing how much there was on the floor at the end, but everyone seems to think it's an improvement.
The whole reason for doing this of course was to raise funds for Blood Cancer UK, and I would like to thank everyone who has so generously donated. Viv and I are overwhelmed at the response, and instead of our target of £500, a whopping £1243 has so far been raised.
I know that the charity will be very grateful for this boost to their funds, and they have already been in touch to publicise this further.
Many, many thanks.
Peter
Since the start of lockdown, I have not had my hair cut – that’s 3 years!!
As I will reach a Significant Birthday in May, I decided to raise some money for Blood Cancer UK by having a Sponsored Haircut, and wondered if you would be kind enough to sponsor me?
I have had chronic lymphocytic leukaemia for over 10 years, and it is completely due to research that during this time I have benefited from new drugs that have been released. I have just finished the latest course of chemotherapy and hope to be in remission for some time.
My haircut is due to take place on Tuesday 18 April.
I would be very grateful for anything feel you can donate, and of course will circulate a Before & After photo once I have had my hair cut.
Thank you
