Story
Hi friends and family
We are tackling the Tough Mudder course on Sunday 7th July in support of Fairplay and Babbington Dog rescue through the Minorfern Foundation whilst also working alongside the Matthew Good Foundation.
SDL Minorfern have set up the Minorfern Foundation with the goal of donating £40,000 annually to a selection of chosen, small regional charities.
We have both decided to choose these two charities because we both feel the Charites represent our love for dogs as well as young children and people. We both share the same mindset in wanting to help support and improve the lives of children and young people with disabilities and additional needs as well as help cater for stray and abandoned dogs by giving them loving families and homes.
The Tough Mudder course is a very messy, muddy, and intense 10+ mile run with over 20 challenging obstacles. Here are some of the extreme obstacles we will be tackling along the way. The Cage Crawl which involves pulling yourself along a 48' water pit with 4'' to breath. An Artic Enema that consists of dropping into a tank of 4 degrees ice pit. Whist running through the field being blasted at with a fire hose trying to climb up enclosed tubes. Also a long the way will be an obstacle called Electric Eel which entails crawling through shallow water in a field of electrical wires. A further a field will be low crawls under barbed wires through mud with slides down into a 6’ deep mud pit and climbs up a sheer wall of mud to get out!!!
Training is underway for the big day so anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated! x
Bring it on! Let the count down begin ...................
