“THROUGH THE GREAT OUTDOORS AND THE POWER OF COMMUNITY WE INSPIRE AND SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS TO REDEFINE THEIR LIMITATIONS AND TAKE STEPS TOWARDS A BRIGHTER FUTURE.”

DAWSONGROUP’S PEAKY CLIMBERS...
A gang of bosses, with a history of fierce rivalry, using ambition and cunning to get ahead…
Of course, we’re talking about Dawsongroup Directors! In true Dawsongroup style, they never shy away from a challenge, and this might prove to be their most arduous yet.
Following on from the success of Dawson Drive last year, 2023’s challenge will be in support of Millimetres 2 Mountains. On September 10th we are sending a group of 13 directors to a remote area of the French Alps, where they will be hiking the Tour de Fiz for three days, adjacent to the well-known Mont Blanc. Our Peaky Climbers will have to endure early starts, heavy packs, and no phone signal with only each other for company (and the mountain wolves!).
Wild and well-preserved (that’s just the landscape), the hike will include a range of demanding terrains, from plateaus to pistes by day, and mountain refuges and dormitories by night. Their trek begins in Chamonix at an altitude of 3000 feet, with the highest peak at 8000 feet – where oxygen levels are 25% less than at sea level.
Some of them have trained, some of them haven’t, so it’s anyone guess who will make it to the finish line. But one thing is for certain, it will be a journey to remember!
On a more serious fundraising note, we know it’s not easy for a lot of people right now and everyone is feeling the pinch. But that in itself is why, as more and more people struggle to keep up with the cost of living, doing what we can to support this dedicated charity is as valuable as ever. Every penny helps and whatever you can afford to contribute will be very much appreciated.
As we edge towards the departure date, watch this space for more information on ways to help support the team with the task that lies ahead.
Thank you,
Dawsongroup Open Hands & The Peaky Climbers
