The Peak Challenge, Circular, 21km/12 mile walk in the beautiful Peak District, on Sunday 3rd September to help raise funds for the fantastic charity, Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre.

I have enlisted the support of volunteers to take part in the Challenge for Pershore plus, with eack person committing to raising a minimum of £150, hence the £3500 target.

Pershore and District Volunteer Centre puts volunteering at the heart of the community to reduce rural and social isolation for the local people.

Annually we provide over 5000 drives for elderly and vulnerable people in Pershore and the surrounding area to get to medical appointments, shopping trips or trips to see friends and family, this helps with loneliness, isolation, mental health, and wellbeing.

Lunch clubs are organised for elderly, vulnerable people and people with Mobility issues where we can collect people from home take them to lunch and then drop them home again.

The Volunteer provide a Resource Service including copying, printing, and franking giving significant support to other charities and small organisations.

Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre matches volunteers with volunteering opportunities and carries out all the necessary checks needed for all to work safely.

We provide a telephone befriending service for those that maybe lonely or isolated, or who might need support for their mental health and wellbeing.
