Story

To help celebrate Peacock Salt's 150th birthday this year, we thought it was time to dust off our walking boots and challenge ourselves again in order to raise money for a worthwhile charity. This year we have chosen Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH).

Mental health affects so many of us, whether directly or indirectly, so as a company we thought this would be a great charity to raise money for in order to contribute to the work they do helping people struggling with mental health conditions.

This year, we will be tackling part of the Ayrshire Coastal Path - a path that is right on our doorstep yet many of us have never tackled to it's full extent. With two different starting points, both teams will meet back at Peacock HQ in Ayr having walked 35 miles collectively. This will be no mean feat, not only with the distance to cover but with various different terrains and tides to consider but hopefully we will be blessed with some nice Ayrshire sunshine and views of the coastline. And of course there will be some learning opportunities along the way as we pass many historical salt sites.

We would be grateful for any donations, large or small, to help us on our way to raising money for such a great charity and please give us a follow on social media to keep up to speed with our training, preparation and the walk itself!
