Story
I’m gearing up for my 12th UK Police Unity Tour!
From the 1st to the 3rd of August 2025, I'll be cycling from York to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire to raise funds for COPS (Care Of Police Survivors). This incredible charity supports families of police officers who have died in the line of duty, helping them rebuild their lives.
Despite knowing the risks, no one expects to die while on duty. When this tragic event occurs, the surviving families experience a range of emotions, from denial and bewilderment to anger and depression.
The police service doesn't have the resources to provide long-term support for these families, and that's where COPS steps in. As a UK-registered charity, COPS ensures that survivors receive the necessary help to cope with their loss and remain part of the police family. The peer support program connects survivors with others who truly understand their experience.
COPS is working to build a network of survivors across the UK, ready to offer support when needed. Whether it's a listening ear or practical help, COPS connects new survivors with those who can genuinely relate.
Your sponsorship can make a significant difference for families who have lost their loved ones in the line of duty. Any support would be immensely appreciated by COPS and myself.
Thank you!
