PBS Good Practice Conference · 28 February 2024

Established in 1981, the Newman Holiday Trust began by running a one week summer holiday for children with special needs. The Trust now provides holidays for about 130 children with special needs aged four to sixteen each year, in various locations around the UK. Due to the high level of skilled care they require or financial circumstances, the children selected for these breaks would not otherwise receive a holiday. The holidays provide a range of fun activities in a safe and supportive environment and use a care ration of one helper to one child at all times. The Trust is an entirely voluntary organization and owes its success to over 200 people who dedicate their free time to helping these children. This voluntary structure ensures that every penny raised goes directly towards a child's holiday.

Story

Thanks for visiting our Just Giving Page.

Every year PBS UK host a free online conference online demonstrating good practice and up to date research in our field. It's very important to us that this is free because we want as many people to be able to access it as possible - HOWEVER - If you have booked some of our sessions and you feel like the conference is worth a contribution we would be so grateful if you could send that donation to the Newman Trust.

The Newman Trust do amazing work supporting families and we would really value any support you can give them.
