Story
Hopefully everyone knows how much the London Marathon means to me. I'm back for another go in 2024 raising money for Oxfam, as ever a very worthy cause.
I'd really welcome all donations, it's a great cause and a big donations target!!! It's going to be a mission this time round, as I am basically old. I also don't work in a big office any more, so I am relying on my amazing family and friends the time.
Here is me having a wonderful time finishing in 2016
I went to watch the very first one and every one after and progressed to being a steward with my Mum and Dad and friends.
I was even on the front page of the Evening Standard in 2007 helping someone finish.
I'm on the right in the picture, that's how hard it is. Great times (not for the bloke in the middle to be fair) but it was inevitable I'd have to run it at some stage.
I ran:
4.59 in 2004 when I was 30
4.21 in 2014 when I was 40
3.58 in 2016 when I was 42
Aiming for 4.20 in 2024 when I am 50
So any donations are very very welcome. Check out the photos from over the years below...
Cheers, you are all great people
Paul
