Paris Marathon 2024 · 7 April 2024 ·

Make it a party, make it a bake-off, make it a quiz... However you want to fundraise, you can make it matter for people affected by dementia.

Story

My grandma Kath suffered with the effects of Alzheimer's for 10 years and I saw firsthand the impact on her and our family. Dementia and Alzheimer's is unfortunately affecting more and more people and is still not well understood or preventable/treatable.

Therefore despite never having run more than 10km before, it being Olympic year in Paris and in the spirit of always challenging myself, all in memory of my wonderful grandma Kath, I decided to try to run my first marathon, in the Paris Marathon on April 7th 2024!

All funds raised will go in support of the great work done by the Alzheimer’s Society, who work tirelessly to help end the devastation caused by dementia, through dedicated support and research into life-changing treatments.

As I struggle to keep up my training, through covid infection, work travels and winter weather, your donations will really also make a big difference to keep me motivated and to keep me going through the 42km!!!.... and most importantly make a difference to many more families suffering with the impact of Alzheimer's.

Thank you / Merci beaucoup!

Paul
