Hi Everyone,

I am so grateful to have the opportunity to fundraise for pediatric cancer through Loma Linda University Children's Hospital Foundation! For those of you who don't know our family's story - my youngest son (now 5 years old and in Kindergarten this year, making all of kiddo's in school...and all of the mama's said, 'Amen!" :) had a tumor on his jaw that we discovered when he was two and a half. It was such a scary journey to be sent into the hospital; having to go through a hospital stay, biopsy procedure, and all of the things that our brave families at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital (LLUCH) go through!

I remember the incredible care that all of staff members gave us and how grateful I was that we have such an incredible facility and staff at LLUCH right here in our community. We didn't have to travel to LA or Orange County for world-class care - we had it right HERE!

As my husband and I waited for the biopsy results, our hearts were racing. Dr. Chi Viet, the most incredible surgeon, physician and dentist, came into the room and gave the good news that the tumor was benign. That Justice would have to have multiple surgeries until he was an adult, but that the tumor was not life-threatening - it was not cancer.

It was in that moment that I began my search to help find opportunities to help families who DO have children with cancer because my Mama's heart experienced just a THOUGHT of what that journey could look like.

And so this giving Tuesday is especially personal for me where I get to fundraise specifically for Pediatric Cancer. Just know that whatever you can give - it will be a HUGE blessing to our patients and their families!
