I've had the privilege of working with many homeless people over the years. Everyone is unique and each has their own story to tell. I find it sad that it is so easy to end up on the streets, and fortunately when I arrived in London in the 80's I had the YMCA to turn to. They saved me from going on to the streets, and it's good that I can now give a little back by doing this annual fundraising event.

Burton YMCA's wider services include family mediation, counselling, emergency foodbank, outreach, supported accommodation and furniture shops. We are a local charity helping and supporting those in Burton-on-Trent and across East Staffordshire. We support over 12,000 people each year with our vital work.
