On 12th October 2025 our team of dedicated Isabel Hospice supporters will tackle the iconic Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise funds for Isabel Hospice. The stunning 13.1-mile route takes in many of the capital’s world-famous landmarks.

Story

On the 12th October I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in support of Isabel Hospice, to help them continue to deliver their vital palliative care services to anyone in eastern Hertfordshire who needs them.

As some of you will know I have a soft spot for this race as it was my first one back after my ankle break in 2024. As I wasn't successful in the ballot I thought it wasn't going to be possible to do it again. Thanks to Penny for letting me know about this charity place, I hope I can do them proud! 💟

Their palliative care and support services are done through their Hospice at Home Team, In-Patient Unit, Community Team, Living Well with Isabel programme, and their Family and Bereavement support service.

To be able to continue to provide their services free of charge to those who need them, they need to raise £7 million every year. The NHS fund 30% of this, the rest relies on the community, government grants, and their retail stores.
