This Lent, what will you give up to give shelter?

Story

This Lent, we're raising money in aid of ShelterBox who provide tents and other shelter essentials to families who have lost their home to disaster. We are urgently helping provide relief to the people who have lost their homes in earthquakes.

You can find out more about ShelterBox here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyM_sk8tjEo&embeds_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fshelterbox.org%2F&feature=emb_rel_end

Every penny raised could give a family a home, and with a home comes a powerful sense of new hope.

A green ShelterBox contains many of the aid items and can be used by the family as well as a bench, wardrobe or crib. Families need cooking utensils, blankets, solar lights and tools

Here's how your support can help:

- £11 could provide a family with a solar light

- £24 could provide a family with a sleeping mat and thermal blankets

- £60 could provide a family with a water filter giving them access to clean drinking water

- £350 could provide a family with a tent, a space for a family to call home

The team is already working in Turkey and an interview was broadcast on February 9th on Radio 4. They have already been supporting refugees in Syria before the earthquakes.
