Story

Sadly in August 2023, Graham Alner passed away after a long fight with Prostate cancer. Grandad to Lauren and Sam and Father in law to Paul, No matter how bad things got for Graham he always remained upbeat and cheery.

Graham died at home with daughter Debbie and Sam. In the last few weeks of Graham's life Marie Curie was on hand nonstop around the clock to care for him and we as a family couldn't have cared for Graham without their support.

So as a way to say thank you Paul, Lauren and Sam will be running the London Landmarks 2024 half marathon in memory of Graham and fundraising for Marie Curie.

Lauren and Sam have set this up as a surprise for Paul.

Paul has been a runner all his life but this will still be a challenge for him. Sam after an injured ankle is not the keen runner that he once was so he will be ditching the weights for the treadmill. Lauren at the moment is doing the couch to 5K - she has 6 months to become a runner!
