Story

On the 21st April, I'll finally be ticking the London Marathon off my bucket list, and raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of my mum, Maureen. For those of you who knew my amazing mum, you'll know that she suffered from cancer, a brain tumour and a stroke, but you may not know that during the later stages of her life she also suffered from vascular dementia, which eventually led to her passing away. I'm incredibly proud to be raising money for this great cause in her memory, to be able to help the the Alzheimer’s Society provide amazing and valuable support to those suffering from dementia, and their loved ones.

I've had 18 great years working for Travis Perkins, and with the the Alzheimer’s Society being our new charity partner, I'm looking forward to raising money with my colleagues and customers to help fund vital support to those living with dementia, fund groundbreaking research and campaigns to make dementia the priority it should be.
