On feb 4th Gary Hill and Paul Robertson set off from Kigali, Rwanda with 100 others racing 1000km unsupported around the country with just their bikes.
We are doing this to show support for a close family member and for anyone we know that has been affected by dementia.
Having witnessed first hand how hard it is to see a person change so fast is heart breaking.
The levels of support for dementia sufferers and their families is so poor in the uk. We are hoping that whatever funds that can be raised helps improve earlier diagnosis and improve quality of life.
We are aiming to suffer for just 4 days, riding through the nights, climbing 19,000 metres and raking up 620 miles.
At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
