Story

As someone who loves a good challenge, I'm excited to be participating in the Wates Group National 3 Peaks Challenge on July 20th, 2024. I'll be hiking up three of the UK's highest peaks with a dozen or so of my colleagues, and while I may have 'all the gear but little idea', I know that this personal challenge will be worth every bit of pain (including the sleep deprivation) if it means helping just one young individual from taking their own life.

PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide is the UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people. Suicide is the biggest killer of people aged 35 and under in the UK, and it's heartbreaking to think about how many young lives are lost each year. As a parent myself, I can't even imagine what it would be like to lose a child to suicide. That's why I'm asking for your help in supporting this important cause.

My goal is to raise £500 for PAPYRUS, and every donation - no matter how small - will make a huge difference. By supporting me in this challenge, you'll be helping PAPYRUS continue their vital work in preventing suicide and promoting positive mental health among young people.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my page, and for any support you're able to give.
