We are the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK

Story

Hi everyone,

I’m running my 19th London Marathon in remembrance of my son James. I am raising funds for the NSPCC, as this was a charity close to James’ heart as it supports children to rebuild their lives.

The NSPCC is the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. They help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.

Every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their life after abuse.

In James' short life, he embarked on a career to support disadvantaged children, particularly through sports. James was a qualified football coach and enjoyed coaching young children in schools to help them reach their potential and have access to opportunities. He was particularly passionate working with children who needed extra support and understood sports provided a unique opportunity to build confidence, feel part of a team and provide purpose for children who may not feel these things in other areas of their lives.

I am proud to fun the London Marathon for the NSPCC to continue James' legacy and ensure funds are raised to protect children and help them have the best lives possible.

Thank for any donation small or large

Paul
