Story

At first it was just a discussion but now it’s real.

On Sunday 20 July 2025 we commence our cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats (“LEJOG”). LEJOG is a cycle across the entire length of mainland Britain, covering 1,009 miles, and we’re aiming to complete it in 14 days. Are we mad, probably, but it will be an experience we’ll never forget.

I (Paul) have done a small amount of cycling before but Chloe has the extra challenge of going from novice to endurance cyclist to complete this adventure. Another challenge in itself!

Why the RMA - The Royal Marines Charity you ask? In June 1983, I stepped off the train at Lympstone Commando and joined the Royal Marines at 16 years old. Throughout my continuing 42 years of service, the charity has been there to support me, my colleagues and our families. As my service is approaching it’s end, and with your help, I would like to give a little back.

Training is underway as we prepare to complete this challenge - updates will follow as we move off the turbo trainers and onto the road to get those miles in our legs! We are not asking you to ride it with us but we’d be immensely grateful for any donations (big or small) to help support this amazing charity.

Thank you for reading our story so far, and we look forward to keeping you updated with this challenge!
