After only 12 weeks of recovery, following robotic cancer surgery, I am delighted to be able to take part in this walk to support Rotary Cut Out Cancer, dedicated to making an impact on the lives of cancer patients. The mission is to raise funds for high-tech surgical equipment for Royal Surrey County Hospital, enabling advanced treatment options for those in need.

Royal Surrey is the 4th largest regional cancer centre in the UK and supports 3 million people in Surrey, Sussex and beyond. Thanks to a £41million investment agreed by NHS England a new Cancer and Surgical innovation Centre is under construction and is due to be completed in phases from the end of 2025 enabling a further 7,000 operations annually.

This funding however only covers the building itself and the basic equipment. What is need to achieve our goal is to help provide the high-tech equipment for these new theatres - such as a surgical robot and specialist operating tables.
