Story
On 12th October I’ll be doing “Lakes In A Day” which is a 50 mile run/hike from the top of the Lake District to the bottom. It’ll include wading across streams, climbing a total of 4000m and will probably take about 16-18 hours. I’m doing this partly to see if I can and also to raise money for Airedale Hospital’s Emergency Department Appeal.
In 2014 Airedale's brand new Emergency Department opened. Ten years later, over half a million people have received help from the Airedale Emergency Department when they need it most. Like everything well used, some of the areas in the Emergency Department are starting to look a bit tired and this is where they need us.
With your help we are raising funds to give the Emergency Department some TLC to provide those added extras that make a real difference. The appeal focuses on three main areas: the children’s waiting area, paediatric resuscitation area, and the department’s bereavement facilities.
