On 6th July, I will be doing a challenge for MNDA South Yorkshire in memory of Dave Booker and Geoff Bland who have died within the last year. Dave and Geoff were committee members, who meant so much to those of us in South Yorkshire Branch and who gave so much to it. I will also be remembering Rob Burrow who was, and still is, an inspiration to many. The following words of his will be at the forefront of my mind - "Every single day is precious, don't waste a moment" and "In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream". All will be sadly missed.

The challenge is to walk 50k (31.25 miles) in a day, but inspired by Kevin Sinfield, I will go the extra mile and walk 32.5 miles (52k) - if I can! At the age of 67, that could be be too much for me, but I am going to give it a really good go. I will need to do a lot of training, but the training is going well so far. Please could you sponsor me for whatever you can. It will really make a difference. All proceeds will go to MNDA South Yorkshire, and as the Branch is run by volunteers, every penny I raise will go to help those living with MND.
