A large number of the population have chronic kidney disease and can develop kidney failure needing dialysis or a kidney transplant. We raise funds for research into kidney disease, transplantation and dialysis and amenities for renal patients at MRI, NCA & RMCH and the satellite dialysis units

Has a family we’ve had personal experience of the great work carried out by the Renal Transplant Department at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

In September 1995 my wife Caron was extremely fortunate to receive a new kidney.

This year we will be celebrating her 30th anniversary.

This wouldn’t have been possible without the brave and thoughtful decision of the donor and their family to whom we are forever grateful.
