Story
Hello One and All,
Those of you who know me well are aware of my volunteering role with the lifesaving team that is Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust. This year has marked an important milestone, in that I have been with them for 10 years. I thought to mark this event I would undertake a challenge in order to raise some much-needed funds towards the Heli2 appeal.
Now to tell you about the challenge, over the past 10 years I have attended, as a CAAT volunteer, the Devon & Cornwall Beard and Moustache Championships which is being held in Plymouth in October 2024. This year I will again be attending as a volunteer with CAAT. I will also enter in one of the categories, yet to be decided, but, I have already started the growing process. Keep an eye on this page for regular updates as to my progress.
If you would like to sponsor me CAAT and I will be extremely grateful.
A message from CAAT:
Cornwall Air Ambulance relies on you, the people of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, to be able to carry out its lifesaving missions.
Each year the crew attend over 1,000 incidents, providing critical care to seriously ill or injured people when they need it most. The team of specialist paramedics and doctors, along with your AW169 helicopter and the two rapid response vehicles, are ready to respond 19 hours a day, 365 days a year. With no direct government funding towards running costs of over £7m a year, your charity relies on the generosity of people like you to keep flying and saving lives.
This year, we are fundraising to secure a second AW169 aircraft to help save even more lives across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Find out more about our #HELi2 appeal, and all about your critical care crew, by checking out our website http://www.cornwallairambulance.org/
