Story
Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time out to have a look at my page.
I started running 4 years ago after being sick of my weight and wanting to do something about it. It was a struggle, and completing a 5k wasn't easy but I stuck with it and I can't believe 4 years later I will be running the London marathon!
I have been chosen to represent Oxfam and I will give a few examples below of the great work they do so you know your donation is for a worthy cause which gives a voice to people who really need it. I have also linked up my Strava running app so you can follow my progress and the hard work that I will be putting in to make sure I give this marathon my best shot. Thanks again for reading my page and I hope you have a great day.
Your donation to Oxfam will make a real difference in the lives of people living in poverty. Oxfam's work has helped to improve access to clean water, food, education, and healthcare. They have also helped to protect people from violence and exploitation.
Here are some specific examples of the positive effects of Oxfam's work
In Ethiopia, Oxfam helped to provide clean water to over 1 million people. This has helped reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases and improve people's health.
In Malawi, Oxfam helped to train farmers in new agricultural techniques. This has helped to increase crop yields and improve food security.
In India, Oxfam helped to set up schools for girls. This has helped to increase girls' enrolment in school and improve their educational opportunities.
In South Sudan, Oxfam helped to provide food and shelter to people displaced by conflict. This has helped to save lives and protect people from harm.
