Story

This year I turn 50, and instead of gifts I would like to ask my friends and family to support the charity Headway that has branches all across the U.K. including Edinburgh and East Lothian.

Headway is a charity that campaigns to support and highlight all brain injuries including concussion in sport. They want to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy sport, while being better protected from the risks of concussion.

Headway take the ‘if in doubt, sit them out’ approach to concussion and raise awareness of this important issue using the #ConcussionAware hashtag and provide awareness tools and training to grass roots sports. With rugby, football and basketball playing sons, their concussion awareness means a lot to me.
